New GovLab on the Influence of Homophobia on Electoral Behavior
Last week, we published a HI:LIGHT on our blog about the new study “The Electoral Effects of State-Sponsored Anti-LGBTQ Measures” (2025) by Violeta Ines Haas, Konstantin Bogatyrev, Tarik Abou-Chadi, Heike Klüver, and Lukas Stoetzer from the Humboldt Governance Lab. The study focuses on how state anti-LGBTQ measures affect electoral behavior. The researchers came across disturbing results.
